Read the latest update on the APS website here...
Topical collectors from throughout the US, Canada and beyond will get together Aug. 12-15 for the Great American Stamp Show at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
The American Topical Association will be joining its partners, the American Philatelic Society and the American First Day Cover Society for the four-day event with programs, meetings, exhibits, social events and vendors. With ever-increasing availability of Covid-19 vaccines, we anticipate that it will be safe to gather in late summer, but the situation will be carefully monitored. Please visit the ATA website for frequent updates.
Forms you need to prepare for this event are being posted on the APS website. Besides registration information, you will find hotel, parking and shuttle information. When registering, make sure you indicate that you are an ATA member! Information about meetings and seminars will be posted closer to the show.
All ATA affiliated study units are encouraged to participate with meetings and booths. Societies are able to recruit numerous new members at his show, the biggest of the year. Find the information and registration form here.
Thematic exhibitors are strongly encouraged to show support for this event by entering exhibits. The prospectus and entry form are posted here.
As usual, ATA will be offering special events: Annual meeting, President’s Reception, ATA Nights Out and more. As you enter the exhibit hall, you’ll immediately see the Adventure Hub, our mega-booth. Make this your first stop for information and to visit with topical collectors.
For some background on how the decision was made to go forward with the show, click here for a statement by Scott English, ATA executive director. He chairs the show steering committee. Bill DeWitt (ATA show chair), John Hamman (past chair) and Jennifer Miller, executive director, participate in this committee.
We’re excited about the opportunity to have our show in August. We hope many topical collectors will join us!
